Titans Unveil Logo Commemorating 20th Season
February 25, 2018 02:07 AM | Jim Wyatt
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Titans unveiled a 20th season logo on Saturday night at Opryland Hotel during an event for season ticket members.

The logo gives a nod to the Greek mythology origins of the word "Titans", tying in with the Parthenon, another Nashville landmark, and the colors of the team.

In number "20" is in the middle of the logo, along with a sword with red on the handle. At the bottom of the logo the numbers 1999-2018 are separated by a star, with blue and silver serving as background colors. The shield behind it is a nod back to Greek mythology and the artifacts that came out of that era.

The Titans plan to use a decal with the logo on the back of their helmets, and fans will also see the logo in and around Nissan Stadium, and also in advertising and production throughout the year. It won't replace the primary Titans logo. Instead, it will serve as a supplement of the primary logo.

The Titans also had logos commemorating the franchise's 10th and 15th seasons. The 20th season of Titans football will be a year-long affair that coincides with the revealing of some new uniforms in April.

The announcement came during an evening when the team introduced head coach Mike Vrabel. Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk and general manager Jon Robinson were among those involved in the program at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.
